Tasting notes of Watermelon · Red Apple · Plum

Bright, juicy, and wonderfully expressive, this light-roasted Ethiopian single origin brings together notes of watermelon, red apple, and plum. It’s a vibrant cup with the fresh, fruit-forward character we love in coffees from Ethiopia.

This coffee comes from Nguisse Nare’s Setame farm in Bombe, Bensa, where he farms at an impressive altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level. Nguisse also works with roughly 60 neighboring producers, sourcing coffee from their farms alongside his own 10 hectares.

After harvest, the cherries are floated and slowly dried on raised beds for about 20 days. This natural process allows the coffee’s natural sweetness and fruit character to shine through.

Nguisse Nare has been a Zoka Coffee partner since 2023, and we’re happy to share this beautiful coffee from his farm and the surrounding community of growers.
